How Therapy Can Help

The therapeutic relationship embodies the importance of connection in order to make our way through life’s challenges, and when a person feels safe and heard, they are able to overcome adversity with newfound resilience, strength, and inspiration.

The process and outcome of therapy may include an improvement in one or more of the following areas:

  • an increase in self-awareness, self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-esteem, and self-care.

  • an improvement in communication, setting appropriate boundaries, assertiveness skills, and balancing your own personal needs along with the needs of others.

  • working through vulnerable emotions, coping with stress, managing and shifting anxiety symptoms, reducing depression symptoms, and challenging negative thoughts and beliefs.

  • enhancing the ability to "bounce back" from difficult experiences, as well as healing from traumatic experiences.

  • explore meaning making, as well as moving toward living a balanced life with purpose.

Therapy is a process of learning, growth and self-discovery in order to help you gain the understanding, skills, techniques, and perspectives to help you live your life to its fullest potential.
